Job Description
Set up, run, and maintain machinery to cut, shape, and bore raw materials into precision parts. Interpret blueprints, install cutting tools, load workpieces, monitor production, and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to meet strict engineering tolerances.

Key Responsibilities
- Setup & Operation: Read engineering drawings, setup sheets, and work orders to safely set up work holding, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Machine Control: Load, execute, and edit CNC programs (G/M code, Mazatrol, etc.) at the machine control unit to perform facing, boring, and drilling.
- Quality Control: Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges.
- Optimization: Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to optimize tool life and meet surface finish requirements.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily routine maintenance on the machine and adhere to heavy industrial safety standards, including proper rigging and handling of large parts.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a vocational/technical machining program or CNC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Typically requires 1-5 years of experience in a production or job shop environment operating CNC mills or horizontal boring machines.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
