Job Description
Now Hiring: Field Technician– Water Infrastructure & Environmental Monitoring We are hiring a Field Technician on behalf of our client! This is a opportunity for a hands-on role in water infrastructure and environmental monitoring. If you enjoy working outdoors, troubleshooting technology, and making an impact on water systems, this could be the perfect job for you! What You’ll Do:Install and Maintain Equipment:
- Set up flow meters, level sensors and other monitoring equipment in combined and sanitary sewer systems.
- Install tipping bucket rain gauges with telemetry for remote data collection.
- Enter manholes to inspect stormwater and sewer systems.
- Perform dye and smoke testing to locate leaks, inflows, or infiltrations.
- Work with data loggers, telemetry equipment, and flow meters to ensure accurate data collection.
- Use field tablets for web-based data entry and work order management.
- Use electronic and manual tools (e.g., power tools, hand tools).
- Follow Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific safety procedures.
- Expect outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Some regional travel may be required.
- Someone comfortable with physical, hands-on work in outdoor environments.
- A problem solver with technical skills (or a willingness to learn) in working with meters, sensors, and data loggers.
- A team player who follows safety protocols and can work independently.
- Open to flexible hours, including occasional work during wet-weather events.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant field technician work experience (sewer-related work preferred).
- License: Valid State Driver’s License required.
- Field work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
